THE CATS

My favorite band is called The Cats. They are from Volendam, Holland and made the so called "palingpop". They had a lot of hits during the 60's and 70's.

Who doesn't remember the songs like: Be my day, Vaya con Dios, One way wind?

The band had 5 members; Piet Veerman, Cees Veerman, Theo Klouwer, Arnold Mühren en Jaap Schilder. Piet Veerman decided to go solo and had a big hit too: Sailing home.

On this page you'll find a few pictures I made during a concert at the early 70's .
